Frank “Butch” Perino, Jr., 82, of Erie, passed away peacefully on Thursday December 31, 2020 at UPMC Hamot due to complications of COVID-19. He was born on August 29, 1938 to the late Frances Cerami Kamppi and Frank Perino, Sr. Butch was a graduate of St. Gregory High School in North East. There he took pride in his athletic accomplishments especially football. Following high school he was employed by Penelec until his retirement in 1994. He was an avid bowler and had several 300 games during his bowling career. Butch also enjoyed playing golf and bantering with his friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Christopher C. Perino; and his sister, Mary Ann Jansen. Butch is survived by his loving wife, Debi Kojancie Perino whom he lovingly referred to as “Brat.” He is also survived by the pride and joy of his life, Jeffrey T. Perino (Pam); granddaughter, Mallory Perino (Stephen Buckley); great-grandsons, Brantley and Mason; sisters, Barbara Norman (Dave), Charlotte Gerdes (Fred); brother, Richard Kamppi (Linda); and sister and brother-in-laws, Bobbi and Pete Ameno and Mark and Dottie Kojancie. Butch will also be sadly missed by the mother of his children, Patricia Perino; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and the many friends he had touched throughout his life. Due to COVID-19 private funeral arrangements are being handled by the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Debi, and all the Perino family,
I was saddened to hear of Frank's passing.
My condolences to you all.
I worked with Frank for a number of years and always found him to be a "straight shooter" and a good man.

Again, sorry for your loss.
