Vickey Triana Obituary

Vickey Lynn (Freeman) Triana, age 64, of North East passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024, unexpectedly at her home.

She was born on January 1, 1960, in Columbus, Georgia, to the late William Freeman and Betty (Herman) Freeman. 

Vickey attended North East High School, and later earned a GED. She graduated from Cosmetology School and worked several years as a licensed hairdresser. Vickey retired from Welch Foods in 2022 after 23 years of service.

Vickey loved the outdoors and enjoyed the time she and her family spent at their camp.  She loved hunting, fishing, and camping with them.  She was also fond of solitude and was known to enjoy the same hobbies alone.

Vickey was a strong woman who liked traveling whether in her trailer, going on a cruise or just spending time between their two homes visiting her kids and grandkids.

Vickey was preceded in death by her parents, William and Betty and her sister, Tammy.  She is survived by her husband, Eric; daughters, Karina Rizzo (Jeremy Bronson), Danielle DeSantis; sons, Frank DeSantis (Nicole Beer), Cory Triana (Destini); grandchildren, Kiana Rizzo, Isaiah DeSantis, Kayden DeSantis, Sophia DeSantis, Maximus DeSantis, Frankie DeSantis; sister, Clover Riefstahl (Ed) and sister-in-law, Wendy Triana.

Private funeral arrangements were entrusted to the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East. Private Celebration of Life will be at the convenience of the family.
