Henry G. Luhman, age 79, of North East, died on Sunday March 4, 2018 at Ball Pavilion.  He was born on April 2, 1939 in Erie, Pa the son of the late James and Viola (Mootz) Luhman.  Henry was a veteran serving in the United States Army.  He graduated North East High School and formerly owned the Ripley Inn "Where the Sun Never Set" and the Gilpin Manor Apartments.  Henry was also involved with various real estate endeavors, construction, and trucking.  He was a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church in North East and St. Matthias Catholic Church in French Creek; "He went to church every Sunday, and started back on Mondays".  A lot of individuals have dreams and don't act upon them, Henry was the opposite.  If one would compose a novel about Henry, it would be entitled, "God Bless a Full Moon".  Henry lived life to the fullest, a few of his adventures included:  Living among the Yaqui Indians of Mexico, living in Jamaica, skiing down Tuckerman's Ravine, kayaking down Zoar Gap and the Everglades, camping by alligators in Florida, swimming among sharks in the Atlantic, climbing Mount Washington with an ice pick, and finishing the International Peace Marathon.  Henry's spirit of adventure lives on through several stories and tall-tales told by all who loved him.  He is survived by Ruth Ann Luhman of North East; daughters, Wendy Cerri (Mike) of North East, Shelly Jageman (Dr. John) of Erie, and Heidi Coon (Chris Faquhar) of Florida; grandchildren, Michael, Ryan, Nikki, and Sophie; great-grandchildren, Aidan, Caleb, Dominic, Bryce, Gabriel, and Leo; niece, Lisa Alimahmoodi (Mazy); nephews, Jimmy Luhman (Bonnie) and Billy Luhman (Becky); great-nieces and nephews, Laila, Daria, Sophia, and James; best friend, Wes McGarvey and many close friends.  Henry's life came to an end during a night when the moon was radiant and full...now a new adventure has begun.  "God Bless a Full Moon".  Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at St. Gregory Catholic Church in North East on Wednesday at 11:00 am.  Interment will be held at St. Gregory Cemetery.  Henry enjoyed helping others in need.  In lieu of flowers, show an act of kindness to an someone in Henry's honor...he would like that.
