Romayne "Cissie" (Lees) Muchoney

Romayne "Cissie" (Lees) Muchoney, age 94, of North East, PA and formerly of Greensburg, PA, Jeannette, PA, and Frederick, MD, passed away on Monday March 4th, 2024, at her residence in North East. She was born on February 25, 1930, in Jeannette, Pennsylvania to the late James and Helen (Moore) Lees.

Cis graduated from Jeannette High School and went on to work for City Hall in Jeannette, PA.

On February 15, 1958, Romayne married the love of her life of sixty-five years, the late Robert Joseph Muchoney. 

She was very involved in the Junior Women’s Club and as a volunteer in her community. Cis enjoyed date nights at the theater and loved spending time with her friends, children, and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

Cis was preceded in death by her parents, James and Helen, her brother, Myles, sister-in-law Carol, and her beloved husband, Bob. 

Cis is survived by her children, Jane Williams (Keith) of Eldersburg, MD, Janice Congour (David) of Montrose, CO, and Beth Lewis (Billy) of North East; and grandchildren, Kate, Mara, Lindi, Lee, Mac, Cuyler (Maxine), Anne (Adam), William and great-grandson, Leo. 

Family and friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Friday March 8th from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and are invited to attend a Funeral Service at William D. Elkin Funeral Home, Saturday March 9th at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to the North East Community Foundation P.O. Box 327 North East, PA 16428 and 4 N.I.N.E Thrift Store 49 Smedley Street, North East, PA 16428.

Cis’s family is sincerely grateful for the love and care that she received from the staff at Parkside (LECOM, North East) who continually filled her days with smiles and made her feel like a queen.
