Barbara Jane (McMahon) Swan, age 83, of North East, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at her residence. She was born on May 29, 1938 in Montclair, New Jersey to the late William and Irene (Rice) McMahon.  Barbara was formerly employed as a medical transcriptionist by St. Vincent Hospital in Montclair. She was an active member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in North East. Barbara enjoyed playing the piano, jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, Bingo, and was a Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Giants fan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald W. Swan, Sr.; a daughter, Donna Lynn Swan; a sister, Mary O’Meara; and brothers, Ray, James, William, and Vincent McMahon. Barbara is survived by her children, Ron Swan (Tracy), Suzanne Swan, William Swan (Juanita), David Swan (Brenda), Michael Swan (Stacy), and Carl Swan (Rachael); brothers, Jack and Robert McMahon; 22 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East, on Thursday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. and are invited to attend a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, 81 East Main Street, North East. Officiating the service is Rev. Marvin Hutchinson. Interment will be held at Quincy Cemetery.
