Thomas “T.C.” Smith, age 78, of Westfield, New York, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021 at UPMC Hamot. T.C. was born on August 13, 1942 in Erie, PA. to the late Lewis C. Smith and Beulah (Lewis) Smith. Tom graduated from Clymer Central School, Clymer, N.Y. and was a professional musician and songwriter. His love of the guitar began when he received his first guitar on his 16th birthday. In 2007, he was inducted into the Chautauqua County Music Hall of Fame. T.C. played in many area bands including “Colt Station” for several years. T.C. deeply loved his family and was admired by many people throughout his life. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Patricia (Pitcavage) Smith; his son, Jesse Taylor Smith (Jodi); grandchildren Evan and Ella Smith; and siblings, Daniel L. Smith, Rebecca N. Brumagin, and Virginia L. Persons (Edward). Friends and family are invited to call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The family requests no flowers. A celebration of life will be held this summer.
