Mary W. (Stolz) McLaughlin
Mary W. (Stolz) McLaughlin, age 88, of North East,
went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday,
October 7, 2018, at Pleasant Ridge Manor. She was
born on September 16, 1930, in Erie, Pa., to the late
Samuel and Marguerite B. (Orr)
Stolz.
Mary was an active member of
the Christian Missionary Alliance
Church in North East. Mary was
a loving and caring mother. She
taught her children and grandchildren
they can have a personal and
intimate relationship with Jesus
Christ. She loved reading God’s
word, listening to Christian music,
praying for others, praying for missionaries, and
spending time with her grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents;
husband, John W. McLaughlin; grandson, Zachary
Figard; sisters, Lois Lott, Doris Gillespie, Anne Kinter,
and Mae Conley; and brothers, Paul Stolz and Sam
Stolz.
She is survived by her children, April Kerr (Ted),
Rock J. McLaughlin (Myong Cha), Marguerite
McLaughlin, and Loie McLaughlin; a sister,
Kitty Fiddler; 11 grandchildren; and many greatgrandchildren.
Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral
Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East, on Thursday
from 2:00 p.m. until the time of a funeral service at 4:00
p.m. Officiating the service is Rev. Marvin Hutchison.
Private interment will be held at North East Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Christian Missionary
Alliance Church, The Great Commission Fund, 81
East Main Street, North East, PA 16428.
