Madison Elizabeth Dunlap
Madison Elizabeth Dunlap, age 22, of North East and
Ripley, died unexpectedly, on Sunday, September 30,
2018, due to an automobile accident. She was born on
July 12, 1996, at Crouse-Irving Hospital, in Syracuse,
New York, the daughter of William
and Regina (Thompson) Dunlap.
Madison started school in
Wimauma, Fla., and moved to
Ripley during her third grade year.
Throughout her academic years,
she studied graphic design and was
in the first Ripley class to graduate
from Chautauqua Lake School. She
currently lived in North East, where
she was employed by Bay Valley
Foods since 2016 and became a Line Utility. Madison’s
passion in life was to draw and paint. She also
enjoyed anime and Pokémon, but most of all she loved
spending time with her family. Everyone who had the
privilege of knowing Madison loved her. Her warm
smile, caring personality, and beauty will be forever
dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her aunt, Carrie Dunlap;
maternal great-grandmother, Marvelyn Courtney;
paternal great-grandparents, Lawrence and Eileen
Dunlap; paternal great-grandfather, Charles Hunt;
and a great-uncle, Brian Furman.
In addition to her parents, Madison is survived by
her brother, Andrew Dunlap; and her sister, Hailey
Dunlap, both of Westfield, N.Y.; grandparents, Steve
and Rena Furman of Wimauma, Fla., Tom and Kathy
Thompson of Ripley, N.Y. and Larry and Sue Dunlap
of Pittsfield, Pa.; great-grandmother, Rita Cook of
Harborcreek; aunts and uncles, Heidi (Chris) Dunlap
of Ripley, Andrea (Tim) Kidwell of Taylor, Pa., Andrew
Dunlap, and Ryan Austin of Wimauma, Fla., Ginger
Thompson of Marietta, Ga., Gary (Traci) Thompson
of Fluvanna, N.Y., and Travis (Trisha) Thompson of
Ripley; and also many great-aunts, great-uncles, and
cousins.
Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral
Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East, on Saturday
from noon until 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.,
and invited to attend a funeral service on Sunday at
1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made
to the Ripley Fire District, 11 South State Street, Ripley,
New York 14775.

Madison(Maddie) which I know you grew out of and didnt like being called anymore,you were such a sweet beautiful,funnyyoung woman.I will always remember the night you tried to run through the door when you were younger.I will miss you and remember you always.Bill and Gina and kids I love you guys and will always be here if you need me.
