Palma L. Cerri Reed, age 77, of North East died on Saturday August 4, 2018 at Ball Pavilion.  She was born on October 8, 1940 to the late Joseph and Mary (Cardinale) Cerri.  Palma graduated St. Gregory High School and was employed as a cashier at The Teacher's Apple Basket in North East and formerly employed at Hi Lo, GC Murphy's, Erie County Court House, and Brevillier Village.  She was a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church and the Harborcreek Moose Lodge.  Palma enjoyed playing cards, golf, spending time at her cottage, and family.  She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Edward Jay Reed;  brothers Joseph Cerrie Jr., Benjamin Cerri, and Frank Cerrie; sisters Nancy Royek, and Josephine Reed.  Palma is survived by her husband of 56 years Ray Reed whom she married September 15, 1962; children, Bradley Stephen Reed (Edyie) of North East, Suzanne Bednar (Matthew) of Virginia, and Jody Reed of North East; brother Salvatore Cerrie of Lawrence Park; son-in-law, Robert Haislip; grandchildren, Jacob Reed (Becki), Alexander Reed, Amanda Martin (Spenser), Katie Stephenson, Cerri Haislip, Meranda Bednar, Destiny Bednar, Cole Bednar, Josiah Haislip, Nicholas Bednar, Robert Haislip Jr., and Kristin Victory (Sean); great-grandchildren, Haden, Harper, Bailey, Tucker, Ravyn and Sammy; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Friend may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 and invited to attend a prayer service on Wednesday at 10:00 am at the funeral home followed by a funeral mass at 10:30 am at St. Gregory Church.  Interment will be held at St. Gregory Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Brevillier Village Hospice Unit, 5416 East Lake Road, Erie, PA 16511 or Community Nursing Services of North East, 7 Park Street, North East, PA 16428.
