Doris Iola Peterson Wilson-Hubler, age 68, of North East, passed away Monday February 6, 2017 at UPMC Hamot. She was born on November 21, 1947 to the late Almon Rockwell and Margaret (DeBarr) Peterson. Doris's early years was spent being a devoted housewife and mother. She began taking classes in Oklahoma to where she began a successful real-estate career. In 1985 she decided to move back home to be with her siblings in Pennsylvania. Doris later attended Penn State Behrend receiving her CPA degree along with others and started Small Business Services in 1990 to 2015 in which she became known as the "Tax Lady". Doris loved BINGO, the Casino's, bowling, golf, the outdoors, playing Kismet, word games, Marbles, watching the Boston Celtics and the Pittsburgh Steelers, and most of all spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a baby brother; a baby sister, Marilyn Peterson; and her brother and best friend, Chuck Peterson. She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Chief Robert Hubler whom she married August 16, 1998; daughters, Debbie Triana (Nick) and Becky Wilson (Matt); grandson Billy Triana; great-granddaughter, Lily; sisters, Dee Svetz and Nancy White (Jim Wassink); brother, Rolly Peterson (Cheryl), Carl Peterson, Butch Peterson (Sue), and Rodger Peterson (Yvonne); sister-in-law, June Peterson; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Friday 7-9 and Saturday 11:00 am until time of a funeral service at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Grahamville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312. Please send condolences to elknfh.com.
