Wanda "Becky" (Thompson) Miller

Wanda “Becky” (Thompson) Miller, age 81, of North East, passed away peacefully at UPMC Hamot on Friday October 13, 2023 surrounded by her family.

She was born on November 1,1942 in Franklin, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Paul and Genevieve (Weaver) Thompson.

Becky was formerly employed as a bank teller for most of her life and previously owned and operated “The Straw Hat” in North East for several years.

She was an active member and volunteer in the North East Community.

Becky was actively involved with the North East Little League, Cub Scouts, North East Sports Boosters, SONS of Lake Erie, and was a Jump Judge; just to name a few.

Becky is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mitzie Fuchs.

She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, David L. Miller whom she married May 4, 1963; children, Barry (Julia) Miller and Wendy (Steve) Anderson; grandchildren, Matthew (April) McGarvey and Kelsey (Jordon) Robinson; great-grandchildren, Landon, Katherine, Barrett, Aubree, Adrienne, Ava, Adalynn, And Sidnei; brother-in-laws; sister-in-laws; and several nieces and nephews.

Becky will be sadly missed by her family and many close friends.

Family and friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Tuesday October 17th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Officiating the service is Rev. Judy Stoddard. Interment will be held at North East Cemetery.
