Walter John Fisher

Walter John Fisher, age 81, of Ripley, NY, passed away on Thursday September 1, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born on September 11, 1940 in Ripley, New York the son of the late Martin and Gertrude (Adams) Fisher. Walter was formerly employed by the Times Publishing Company and Knight Farms in Ripley. He was a member of the Ripley United Methodist Church. Walter enjoyed farm work, growing tomatoes, and spending time with his family and dog, Diesel. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Donna Fisher; second wife, Audrey Fisher; third wife, Linda O'Hara Fisher; sons, Johnny James Fisher and Edward Fisher; and a brother, Charles Fisher. Walter is survived by his children, Rusty Fisher (Lori) of Ripley, Tammy Fiamella (Jack) of North East, Susan Crooks of NC, Martin Fisher (Sara) of Ripley, Kimberly Fisher of WI, and Robert Fisher of Warren; step-children, Dawn Lynn Davis of Buffalo, Billy Jo Miller of North East, and Anna Marie Sheldon of Erie; also several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Wednesday 12:00 P.M. till time of a funeral service at 2:00 P.M. Officiating the service is Rev. Rebecca Ward. Private interment will be held at Grahamville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Ripley United Methodist Church, 84 West Main Street, Ripley, NY 14775.
