Valentine Marie Lukas Butler, age 66 died May 30, 2014 in New Port Richey, Florida. “Val” was born in Erie, August 10th, 1947 to her parents, Jean E. Lukas, and John P. Lukas of North East, Penn-
sylvania. She spent her childhood in North East, with her family on Grahamville Street. Val first attended St Gregory’s Grade School, then graduated from North East High School in 1965. She then attended St Leo’s University in St Leo, Florida, graduating with a B.S. degree in elementary education. She taught primary school level in several schools in Florida. She married and had three children; Thomas, Brian and Valerie all of whom survive her. She is also survived by her husband, Charles, in New Port Richey, Florida and three siblings: Suzanne (Lukas) Geotti and husband Gianni Geotti, living in Aiello del Friuli in Italy, Jeannie (Lukas) Lincoln and husband Michael Lincoln, living in Wollongong, Australia and John Lukas and wife Mary Beth now living in Springfield, Georgia.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on the 18th July, 2023, at St Gregory’s Catholic Church, followed by burial in St Gregory’s Cemetery.
