Timothy G. Hanson

Timothy G. Hanson, Sr., age 59, of North East, died on Tuesday July 26, 2022 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born on July 6, 1963 in Bradford, Pennsylvania the son of the late Gary Hanson, Sr. and Marjorie (Cook) Hanson Lang. Tim was employed as a truck driver and worked for North Coast Sanitation for several years. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in North East. Tim loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren; joking with family and friends; and was an avid Buffalo Bills Fan. Tim was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Jon Lang; and close friend, Rosemarie Matteson whom he called "mom". He is survived by his loving wife, Korene Hanson whom he married on April 21, 2018; children, Makayla Hanson, Makinly Hanson, Tim Hanson, Jr. (Stacey), Nate Hanson, Marcus Hanson, and Zach Everitt (Amber); step-mother, Joann Hanson; siblings, Cary Hanson, Matthew Hanson, Butch Hanson, Patti Buchanan, Martin Matteson (Denise), Donna Button (Ricky), Luan Woodeuff (Leonard), Deborah Wilber (Russell), Dorene Weir (Michael), and Donald Matteson; 16 grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Sunday from 11:00 A.M. until time of a funeral service at 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Officiating the service is Pastor Travis Henry. Interment will be held at North East Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
