Stanley Kenney Obituary

Stanley T. Kenney, 100, of North East and Pensacola, FL, passed away on Tuesday January 6, 2026 at the PA Soldiers and Sailors Home in Erie.

He was born on January 29, 1925 in Olean, New York to the late Stanley and Victoria (Kuclewicz) Kenney.

Stanley attended Cherry Creek High School and was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Army Air Corps in the Parachute Regiment. 

He owned and operated a heating and refrigeration business for several years until retirement. Stanley was also a certified locksmith.

He was a member of the Polish Falcons, American Legion, and V.F.W. for many years.

Stanley loved spending time with family and friends, reading, board games, and playing solitaire.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 1st wife, Delores Kenney; second wife, Shirley Kenney; brother, John Kenney; grandson, Nicholas Andin, and adopted son, James Kenney.

Stanley is survived by his son, Timothy Kenney (Lisa); daughters, Diane Murphy (Patrick) and Deborah Andin; brothers, Dr. Edward Kenney (Roberta); grandchildren, Patrick, Chris, Jeff, Nathan, Madelyn, Maelyn, Marc, and Vicki; great-grandchildren, Ty, Tom, Matt, Katie, Ronan, Sam, Jude, Shey, Bryn, Ryleigh, and Abby; great-great-grandson, Leo; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Tuesday January 13th from 2:00 p.m. until time of a funeral service with Full Military Honors at 4:00 p.m. Officiating the service is Fr. Thomas Brooks. Private interment will be held at St. Gregory Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the Mellon Heritage Veteran's Outreach Center, 16 West Division Street, North East, PA 16428.
