Samuel C. Fisher, age 95, of North East, passed away on Friday May 13, 2022 at his residence. He was born on November 26, 1926 in Harrisville, Pennsylvania the son of the late Samuel Chester Fisher, Sr. and Dolca May Buchanan Fisher. Samuel was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War serving in the United States Navy and the United States Army. During his career in the United States Army he was stationed in Munich, Germany where he met the love of his life, Annelies Inderst. Annelies and Samuel where married on April 4, 1952 in Germany and then moved to the United States. He was formerly employed by Electric Materials for 22 1/2 years as an Electric Plater until retirement in September of 1986. Samuel was a member of the North East American Legion Post 105, North East V.F.W. Post 4789, Erie Siebenbuerg Club, and the North East Senior Center. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Arther and George Fisher; and a sister, Marjorie Fisher. Samuel is survived by his wife, Annelies Inderst Fisher; daughter, Christina Goodban (James) of North East; son, Edward Fisher (Kathy Foltz) of North East; grandchildren, James, Robbie, and Trever Goodban, Chad Fisher, and Laura Grace; and great-grandchildren, Shelby, Kaylee, and Gavin. Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Wednesday from 7:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. and are invited to attend a funeral service on Thursday at 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home. Officiating the service is Rev. David Kuchta. Interment will be held at North East Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
