Robert Joseph Muchoney

Robert Joseph Muchoney, age 92, of North East, PA and formerly of Greensburg, PA, Jeannette, PA, and Frederick, MD, passed away on Tuesday May 16, 2023 at his residence. He was born on April 16, 1931 in Greensburg, Pennsylvania the son of the late Joseph and Suzanna (Sykora) Muchoney. Bob graduated from Greensburg Salem High School and Juniata College where he played college football. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Mathematics. Bob was a veteran serving in the United States Army. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, member of the Lions Club, and enjoyed gardening. Bob loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and will be sadly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Margorie Blahovec and Patricia Kirsch. Bob is survived by the love of his life of 65 years, Romayne "Cisse" (Lees) Muchoney whom he married on February 15, 1958; children, Jane Williams (Keith) of Eldersburgh, MD, Janice Congour (David) of Montrose, CO, and Beth Lewis (Billy) of North East; and grandchildren, Kate, Mara, Lindi, Lee, Mac, Cuyler (Maxine), Anne (Adam), William and great grandson, Leo Robert Lewis. Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street on Thursday from 4:00 P.M. till 7:00 P.M. and are invited to a Memorial Mass on Friday at 11:00 A.M. at St. Gregory Thaumaturgus Church. Interment will be held at St. Gregory Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
