Robert B. Canales, 89, of Harborcreek, passed away on Friday April 18, 2025 at Cornerstone Hospice & Palliative Care in The Villages, FL.
He was born on April 7, 1936 in North East, Pennsylvania to the late Manuel and Claudia (Campbell) Canales.
Bob formerly worked at Keystone Foods in North East and with a friend in 1978 established Erie Tree Service which later came to be known as Canales Tree Service.
He was a member of the North East Alliance Church and the Lawrence Park Alliance Church.
Bob enjoyed hunting, bowling, boating, and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruth Ann (Maynard) Canales; siblings, Alton Lyons, Agnes Lyons Henderson, Leon Lyons, Anna Lyons, and Edward Lyons; and a granddaughter, Holly.
Bob is survived by his sons, Paul Canales (Julie) of Millcreek and Brian Canales (Isabel) of Osyka, Mississippi; daughter, Laura McIntire (Brad) of Harborcreek; brother, Manuel Canales of CA; grandchildren, Michael, Brooke, Rachel, Alex, Gavin, Orion, Mary, and Sirius; great-grandchildren, Tucker, Nova, Vayda, and Marlowe; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Saturday April 26th from 11:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m. followed by a graveside service at North East Cemetery. Interment will be held at North East Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Barber National Institute 100 Barber Place, Erie, PA 16507. Please send condolence to elkinfh.com.
