Ramona Lee (Bagley) Piazza

Ramona Lee (Bagley) Piazza, age 82, of North East, PA, passed away Tuesday February 15, 2022, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 16, 1939, in Commodore, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Cray and Caroline Bagley. Ramona attended a one room school house in Cookport, PA and graduated from North East High School, where she served as the North East Cherry Queen in 1957. She was formerly employed by the North East School District as a lunch room monitor where students referred to her as “Grandma”. She was also employed by The Electric Materials Co in North East , various office positions and the North East Breeze. Ramona enjoyed baking and cooking for all that walked through her doors. She has won many of the North East Community Fair baking contests including angel food cakes worthy of state competitions. She was a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church in North East. Ramona, along with her husband, enjoyed antiques and family time with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, David Bagley; brother- in-laws, Christopher Piazza, Columbus Piazza, Floyd Piazza; sister-in-laws, Virginia Fletcher, Concetta Conn, Janice Piazza; and brother-in-laws, Tom Tartarella and Acy Evans. Ramona is survived by her sons Salvatore “Sam” (Lisa) Piazza and Cray Piazza; daughters, Caroline (Douglas) Mulson and Deanna (Glenn) Leamer; brother-in-laws, John Piazza, Frank Piazza, and Kenneth (Jean) Fletcher; sister-in-laws, Mary (Rexford) Dimperio, Frances Evans, Mabel (John) Skellie, Adriena Piazza and Evelyn Tartarella, and Jean Rodgers. Grandchildren, Jacqueline (Donny) Melter, Jeremiah Mulson, Hannah (Tad) Moore, Leanna (Brian) Rock, Gregory Leamer, Alaina (Joshua) McIntire, Kyle Piazza, Anthony (Mandy) Piazza, and Cody Piazza; and 14 great-grandchildren, an also many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Friday from 2:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. and are invited to attend a prayer service on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Gregory Church at 10:30 a.m. Memorials may be made to St. Gregory Church 136 West Main Street, North East, PA 16428.
