Ramona C Barnett

NORTH EAST - Ramona “Onie” C. (Alford) Barnett, age 89, of North East, PA passed away at home on September 9, 2022. She was born on December 22, 1932, in Brookville PA, the
daughter of the late Harry B. and Faye J. Greeley Ross Alford. She married her beloved husband David on January 1, 1954, who passed away in 2004 after celebrating 50 years of marriage. In 1955, with their twins, they moved from Brookville to North East, PA. A homemaker, Onie enjoyed farming, gardening, canning, crocheting, quilting, music, and puzzles. Ramona was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Richard and Harry “Junior”; sisters Bernice Greeley, Phyllis “Cook” Greeley, Jean Slaughenhaupt, and Barbara Sines. A devoted mother, she is survived by her sons; Kenneth (Kitty), Nathan (Judy), and Darrell (Colleen) Barnett all of North East; daughters, Pamela Vollant (Jim) of Riggings, Idaho and Cath- erine Herring (Michael) of Kountze, Texas; sisters, Peggy Spare, Marjorie Lewis (Joe), and Patty Lu- cas; 13 grandchildren, 27 Great grandchildren, 6 Great great grandchildren; also many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Wednesday September 14 from 2:00 P.M. until time of a funeral service at 5:00 P.M.
