Proud, lifelong North East resident, Philip H. Hutchinson died peacefully in his home on Saturday, January 17. There is nothing that brought him more joy than singing and playing guitar with his friends and son Hal -(Chrissy Root - Aaron, Harper, Harrison), having daughter, Shawn, and family (Jeff Angelcyk - Dexter) surprise him with amazing culinary experiences around Dallas or exploring southern Mexico with daughter Lucy (Gabriel Bautista -Maya, Victoria). If his wife of nearly 55 years, Elizabeth, had not been by his side, he wouldn't have enjoyed a minute of it. She was his North Star. His grandfather, Lloyd Hutchinson, meant the world to him. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, and he carried their memory with him as part of what it meant to be a Hutchinson. He is survived by the aforementioned, countless friends and family, including Fritz, his brothers-in-law and their wives. The Hollands have been an endless supply of love and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North East Food Pantry or McCord Memorial Library.
Friends and family may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Saturday January 24th from 2:00 p.m. until a Time of Remembrance at 6:00 p.m. Please send condolences to elkinfh.com.
