Paul Witherow

Paul Anthony Witherow, age 73, passed away February 1, 2022 at his home in North East from natural causes. Paul was born on March 12, 1948 in South Fork, Pennsylvania and graduated from Adams Summerhill High School, Cambria County, in 1966. He was preceded in death by his parents Vincent and Marie Witherow. Paul is survived by his wife of 32 years, Amy Edna (Foulk) Witherow; four children, Erin (Witherow) Ruvelo, Karl Witherow, Barbara Witherow and her spouse Adam (Dabulewicz) Witherow, Samantha Witherow and his three grandsons Anthony Vincent Silay, Bentley Allen Witherow, and Ky Vincent Witherow. Paul spent 39 years as a mechanist at General Electric before retiring in 2008. For over 30 years he did landscaping and plowing all over Erie County and Findley Lake. He loved the Steelers, Johnny Cash, John Deere tractors, Mr. Peanut, auctions, trains, classic country music, history, his family, especially his grandsons, and helping others. He was always teaching others and helping someone. He was a member of the St. Boniface User’s Club, Lawrence Park Athletic Club, and Wesleyville Athletic Club. Anyone who knew Paul knew he took pride in his work and always knowing someone, no matter where he went. Friends and family are welcomed to pay their respects Sunday February 6 from 1 pm to 4 pm at William D Elkin Funeral Home 65 S Lake St North East, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in the memory of Paul to the ANNA Shelter and the Second Harvest Food Bank.
