Meredith (Brown) D'Anthony

Meredith (Brown) D'Anthony, age 79, of Ripley, passed away on Sunday December 8, 2024 at UPMC Hamot.

She was born on April 3, 1945 in Westfield, New York to the late Frances E. and Onnolee R. (Finland) Brown.

Meredith graduated Ripley Central High School and was formerly employed as a school crossing guard.

She was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church in Ripley.

Meredith enjoyed gardening, flowers, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles D'Anthony; son, Robert D'Anthony; step-son, David D'Anthony; brother, Leonard Brown; and nephew, Stephen Brown.

Meredith is survived by her daughters, Christine D'Anthony and Lisa D'Anthony; son, Darren Gollhardt (Nicole); step-children, Patty, Sharon, and Donald; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held at the First Baptist Church in Ripley. Private interment Quincy Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 9869 East Side Hill Road, Ripley, NY 14775 or the Ripley Fire Department, 11 South State Street, Ripley, NY 14775.
