Matthew John Bostwick

Matthew John Bostwick, 47, of North East passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at his residence. He was born on April 15, 1974, in Erie, Pennsylvania to Robert Bostwick of Geneva, OH and Beverly Hewitt of Winnipeg, Canada. Matthew graduated from Cathedral Preparatory High School in 1992 and attended Gannon University. He was co-owner and president of Heritage Wine Cellars in North East. Matthew was a member of St. Greg- ory Church and the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau. He was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed making wine and spending time with his family. Matthew was preceded in death by his wife Emily (Reynolds) Bostwick; paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Julia Bostwick; and maternal grandparents, John and Bernice Piendel. He is survived by his parents; children, Isabella Rose Bostwick, Iris Lenora Bostwick, and Elijah George Bostwick; and siblings, Joshua Kenneth Bostwick (Mary) of North East; and Tamar C Bostwick of Geneva, Ohio. Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Wednesday, December 29th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and are invited to attend a funeral service on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Officiating the service is Father Thomas Brooks. Private inter- ment will be held at Phillips cemetery.
