Mary Jane (Constable) Reed

Mary Jane (Constable) Reed, age 88, of Harborcreek, passed away on Tuesday March 21, 2023 at Barnabas Court North. She was born on October 29, 1934 in New Bethlehem, PA the daughter of the late James and Martha (Beatty) Constable. Mary Jane graduated from Red Bank High School and was formerly employed by Brevillier Village as a cook for 17 years until retirement. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church where she served in the Ladies Auxiliary. Mary Jane enjoyed volunteering at Brevillier Village and was active in the Bevillier Village Haven Program. She loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, and dogs. Mary Jane was preceded in death by her husband, James (Jim) Reed; sister, Phil Craig; brothers, Joe Constable and Jim Constable; and multiple brother and sister- in- laws. She is survived by her daughters, Marty Colliss (Peter) of Harborcreek, Sandy Roof (Gib) of Commodore, PA, and Cheryl Turk (Jeff) of Erie; grandchildren, Jason, Alicia, Louise, Keith, Cassie, Zak, Kayla, Jimmy, and Heather; also several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until time of a Funeral Service at 6:00 p.m. Officiating the service is Deacon Chuck Adamczyk. A private interment will be held at St. Gregory Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home or to the Brevillier Village Haven Program, 5416 E.
