Martha C (Beebe) Weed

Martha C. (Beebe) Weed,87, of Sabattus Maine, formerly of North East, peacefully passed away on Monday January 17,2022 at her residence.She was born on August 1, 1934 in Erie, Pennsylvania the daughter of thelate Harold G. and Caroline M. (Norman) Beebe.Martha was formerly employed by the North East A&P Store and General Electric. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Cross in North East and was an active volunteer for many functions. Martha had memberships in the Westfield Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 118, North East American Legion Auxiliary Post 105, and the North East V.F.W. Post 4789. Her hobbies included playing cards, bowling, jigsaw puzzles and knitting (a skill she passed on to her grandchildren). She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Donald H. Weed, Sr. Martha is survived by her sons, Donald Weed, Jr. (Maria) of Clemmons, NC and David Weed (Pam) of Sabattus Maine; a daughter, Diane Cruz (Emilio) of North East and 7 grandchildren. Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Tuesday from noon until time a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Officiating the service is Rev. Carol Carlson.
