Obituary

Marilynn (Larese) Brown, age 63, of North East, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born on December 11, 1957 in Erie, Pennsylvania to the late John Larese Sr. and Esther Angela (White) Larese. Marilynn graduated from Sacred Heart Elementary School, St. Benedict’s High School, and Gannon University, obtaining a Medical Assistant degree. She recently retired from the Erie County Health Department. Marilynn was a member of the St. Gregory Thaumaturgus Church in North East. Marilynn enjoyed many travels and adventures with her sister and family. She was the favorite aunt of many beloved nieces and nephews having taught them to play card and dice games, crafts, and puzzles. Marilynn is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Don Brown, whom she married June 15, 1985; son, Alex Brown (Amy); stepdaughters, Tina Muskey (Mike) and Shelly Rivello (Jimmy); siblings, Rosanne Testi (Vern), John Larese Jr., and Carl Larese (Jim); grandchildren, Nicole (Muskey) Cabeza (Albert), Robert and Michael Wagner, and Anthony and Elias Rivello; and three very special cousins, Mary, Darlene, and Kathleen. Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and are invited to a Funeral Mass on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at St. Gregory Thaumaturgus Church, 50 S. Pearl Street, North East. Interment will be held at Grahamville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the North East Food Pantry, 30 Bothel Street, North East or the North East Fire Department, Box 89, North East, Pa.
