Margaret "Marge" E (Pistner) Bauer

GREENE TWP. - Margaret “Marge” E. (Pistner) Bauer, age 103, of Greene Township and North East, passed away on Sunday April 23, 2023 at LECOM Senior Living. She was born on February 10, 1920 in Ridgway, PA the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Evers) Pistner. Marge graduated from Wilcox High School in 1937 and went on to further study at the Pittsburgh Business Academy graduating in 1938. She was formerly employed by General Electric in the office for several years. Marge, along with her husband, raised their children in Greene Township and after retirement moved to North East. She was a former member of St. Boniface Church and was a current member of St. Gregory Thaumaturgus Church in North East. Marge was an avid crafter, seamstress, gardener, and loved spending time with her family. Marge is now dancing with the Angels! In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Walter Bauer; 3 brothers; 3 sisters; a grandson; and a granddaughter-in-law. Marge is survived by her children; Linda Bauman of Erie, James Bauer (Jean) of Sunbright, TN, and Ann Glaspell (John) of Erie; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 5 step-great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends. Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and are invited to attend a Prayer Service on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Gregory Church, 50 South Pearl Street, North East. Interment will be held at St. Gregory Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Kuhl Hose Co.
