Loretta M (Osborne) Alford

Loretta M. (Osborne) Alford, age 90, of North East, passed away on Friday July 21, 2023 at her residence. She was born on November 2, 1932 in Ripley, NY the daughter of the late Frank "Shine" and Mabel (Folmar) Osborne. Loretta graduated from North East High School in 1950 and was formerly employed by G.C. Murphy in North East for 22 years and Family Dollar for 20 years. She was a faithful member of St. Gregory Thaumaturgus Church. Loretta enjoyed day trips and her exercising classes. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends, and all who loved her. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry B. Alford, Jr.; brothers, Eugene and John "Norman" Osborne; and son, Dennis Alford. She is survived by her son, Tim Alford (Vicky) of North East; daughters, Sherry Alford of Phoenix, AZ and Tammy Alford of Phoenix, AZ; brother, Ken Osborne (Deborah) of North East; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family and friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until time of a Funeral Service at 6:00 p.m. Private interment will be held at St. Gregory Cemetery.
