Lawrence "Larry" W. Norman, age 69, of North East, passed away on Tuesday August 27, 2024 at UPMC Hamot due to an automobile accident.
He was born on February 18, 1955 in Erie, Pennsylvania to the late John and Betty (Fisher) Norman.
Larry graduated from Wattsburg High School and was formerly employed by General Electric until his retirement in 2017.
He was an ordained minister and a man of God who loved ministering and sharing God's word to many individuals throughout his lifetime.
During his active missionary journey he helped establish schools in Burkina Faso in West Africa and the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean.
He was a member of the Greenfield Baptist Church and Koinonia.
Larry loved camping, playing cards, telling jokes, feeding critters, fast cars, and was an organ donor.
He loved spending time with his family and friends and will be sadly missed for his generous spirit, warm heart, and smile.
Larry is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Laskowski) Norman; daughters, Stacey Feige of Erie and Lynsey Norman of Pittsburgh; son, Michael Norman (Staci) of Erie; grandson, Nathaniel Feige; granddaughter, Scarlett Norman; sister, Christine Fasenmyer (Joe) of Erie; and best furry friend, Ellie.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday September 7, 2024 at 10 a.m. at the Greenfield Baptist Church, 9028 Williams Road, North East. Officiating the service is Pastor Dan Cass. Memorials may be made to the Greenfield Baptist Church. Please send condolences to elkinfh.
