Keith L Gorton

Keith L. Gorton, Sr., age 76, of Ripley, New York, passed away on Tuesday January 28, 2025 at his residence.

He was born on July 23, 1948 in Erie, Pennsylvania to the late Leroy and Ida (Tarr) Gorton.

Keith was formerly employed as a mechanic and parts puller at B and R Auto Parts and at North East Auto for several years.

He enjoyed Erie Speedway car racing and fishing.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Rodney, Esther, Burton, Robert, Orville, Arlene, and June Gorton, and Deloris Bronson, Constance Chorney, Ruth Blankenship, and Patricia Donaldson.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years Cheryl Gorton whom he married January 24, 1969; children, Brian Gorton, Joe Rogers, Keith Gorton, Jr., Jason Rogers, Angela Johnson (Charles), and Shaun Gorton (Jennifer); sister, Sandy Cook; brother, Delbert Gorton; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Sunday February 2nd from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Private interment will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Please send condolences to elkinfh.com.
