Kathleen Ann (Gilbo) Johnston

Kathleen Ann (Gilbo) Johnston, 78, of Wattsburg passed away on Wednesday November 19, 2025 at her residence.

She was born on March 25, 1947 in Erie, PA to the late Russell and June Gilbo.

Kathleen graduated from Harbor Creek High School and was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church in North East.

She loved spending time with her family, word search puzzles, and sitting on her porch enjoying nature.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Johnston; sister, Sharon Cieslak; and granddaughter, Tonya Pursell.

She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Desin (David); son, Todd Pursell (Becky); step-sons, Brian Johnston (Sandy) and Gary Johnston; step-daughter, Yvonne Chrzanowski (Dave); brother, Jim Gilbo (Dotty); sister, Geraldine Williams; sister-in-law, Kay Stewart (Bob); grandchildren, Matthew, Megan, Heather (Donnie), Vanessa, Josh, Austin (Makayla), Alexandria, Mason, Devin, Makaila, Sabastian, and Savanna; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Friends and family may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Tuesday November 25th from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and are invited to attend a funeral service on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
