Karen Allen

Karen (Cooper) Allen, age 76, passed away peacefully on Thursday February 23, 2023 at her residence. She was born on July 2, 1946 in Waukegan, Illinois the daughter of the late Dr. David C. and Olive J. (Jenks) Cooper. Karen was formerly employed by Dr. Barton L. Neckers Dentistry in North East as a dental assistant and office manager for several years. She was a member of the Westfield Quilting Guild, Bridge Clubs, and several Golf Leagues. She enjoyed quilting, playing golf, cooking, baking cookies, and spending time with grandchildren, family, and friends. Karen was preceded in death by her parents; and nephews, David Cooper III and Christopher Nagle. She is survived by her husband Jeff Allen; children, Jeffrey B. Allen, Jr. of Maryland, Kristie A. Kraemer (Jeff) of North East, and Jennifer A. Best (Greg) of OH; grandchildren, Jordan, Sydney, Jeffrey, Jacob, Hamilton, Evelyn, Jonah, Charles, and Lydia; and great-grandchildren, Collin, Owen, Mia, and Paige. Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Tuesday 3:00 p.m. till 6:00 p.m. and are invited to a Funeral Service on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Episcopal Church of Holy Cross, 51 West Main Street, North East.
