Justina Marie (Best) Eddy

It is with great sadness that the family of Justina Marie (Best) Eddy, age 37, announce her passing on October 28, 2024, following a long battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family and caregivers during her last days. Justina was born in Erie, PA on June 3, 1987. Justina grew up in Ripley, NY and attended RCS, graduating in 2005.  Following graduation, she attended Great Lakes Institute of Technology for Medical Assistant. Justina worked for Dr. Fioretti, OBGYN Associates of Erie and Schurmatz Counseling.

On April 3, 2007, she married the love of her life, Matthew Eddy.  Together, they were blessed with three boys, Kentin, Gavin and Jordin.  

Justina is survived by her husband Matthew and their three sons. Justina is also survived by her parents, John Best and Sally Best, In Laws: Scott and Helen Camp.  Siblings: Jessica Best and Joseph Best, sister-in-Law: Cindy Eddy (Will) and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends that became family.  She was preceded in death by her sister-in-law Chelsea Best, grandparents, Lloyd and Barb Best, John and Linda Sargent.

Justina touched the lives of many.   She was not just beautiful on the outside, her inner light shone even brighter. She showed incredible strength and resilience that inspired all who knew her during her courageous battle with cancer over the past 4 years.  She was a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on. You will never find a more loving friend, mother or wife, there is no doubt in our mind about that the amount of people she touched is immeasurable.  Anything involving her boys, she was sure to be there, cheering them on.  From wrestling, football and racing she was always their number one fan.

The family will be having a Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 16th from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the American Legion Banquet Room located at 17 South Mill Street, North East, PA.
