June Marie (Brumagin) Hughes

June Marie Brumagin Gross Hughes of North East, Pa passed away February 24, 2023. Born in Wattsburg, Pa. July 15, 1945, daughter of the late Lewis M Brumagin and Fern Overton Brumagin. She was proceeded in death by her sister Nancy Brumagin Johnson (Warren)

Raised on a farm on Dolittle road in Lowville, Pa. graduated from Wattsburg HS in 1963. June married at a early age and experienced some unfortunate events causing her to go enter the work force. Having never worked before, she took some classes and became a Chiropractic Secretary, retiring from Nash Chiropractic as office manager in 2008. A simple woman, June only wanted to love and be loved in return. June was the family Historian, creating a very large Ancestry.com portfolio, including 100's of photos and many stories, also creating several family books. She was also known for her unique and interesting decorating, creating a wonderful, comfortable and fun home. She was also a great gardner and loved planting and weeding, enhancing her yard. These passions were also shared by her husband Doug. Being raised a fundamental Methodist the first part of her life she became a member of the Berean Bible Church and Bible Society for over 40 years. Rightly dividing the word of God, knowing," Absent from the body, Present with the Lord". Experiencing the ravages of Parkinson's Disease that took her from us, she will be sadly missed by those that Loved her. We wish to thank all who kept in contact with June, providing love and care during her last few years. It was Junes wish not to burden her children with a funeral. Survivors include her sons Dale Gross ( Darlene ) David Gross ( Barbra ) and her eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, and Rev. Harold Brumagin (Donna, deceased). She is also survived by her step-children Jim Hughes ( Lisa ) Ken Hughes, their five children, and seven grandchildren. I wish to thank the staff at Sarah Reed Senior Center for their care, and also to those aids and nurses that took June's stay personal and went the extra mile for her comfort.
