June B (Rowe) Holmes

June B. (Rowe) Holmes, age 91, passed away peacefully on Tuesday February 27th at home with her family by her side, after a 5 year battle with dementia and recent cancer.

She was born on June 8th, 1932 in West Middlesex, PA to the late Thomas and Bertha (Schaffer) Rowe.

June worked as a parts clerk and accountant at The Holmes Company during the 70's. She was also a Nurses Aide at Western Reserve and St. Vincent Hospital until retirement.

She loved to bake. Her specialties were pies and cookies and she would gladly make her signature apple pies for anyone and everyone. June was a strong woman that never gave up despite some difficult times. She never let misfortune affect her loving, kind, and giving nature.

June was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, James Holmes; sons, Kurt, Scott, and Jim, Jr. Holmes; and 7 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her sons, Dr. Morgan Holmes (Susan) and Dallas Holmes; grandchildren, Collin Holmes, Rachel Holmes, Heilyn Holmes, Kara Heitzenrater, and Kathleen Obuszewski.
