Joseph joined his heavenly family on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 76 years of age. Joe was born on September 25, 1947 in Renovo, PA to the late Stephen and Annabelle (Chrapek) Monoski. He was married to Janelle King on May 2, 1970; she survives him.
Joe was employed by Hammermill Paper Company for over 30 years. He also worked as a DJ for many weddings, anniversaries, and birthday parties as “DJ Love.” He was a member of Greenfield Baptist Church and a previous member of North East First Baptist Church. Joe grew all sorts of berries and loved to share them with his family and friends. When he had the chance, he enjoyed hunting and fishing at Brokenstraw.
Besides his wife, Janelle, surviving are three children: Joelle Abke, Jonathan (Mary Jo) Monoski, and Julie (Mark) Bartlett; grandchildren Alyssa Abke, Dylan Abke, Brittany Tobin, Bobby Kellogg, Tyler Monoski, Isaiah (Hannah) Bartlett, Zachariah Bartlett, Nathan Bartlett, and many dear friends.
Joe was preceded in death by his brother, Stephen “Randy or Ski” W. Monoski, Jr.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Greenfield Baptist Church, 9028 Williams Rd, North East, Pennsylvania 16428. Pastor Brently Pustelak will officiate a service following visitation at 1:00 p.m. Gravesite services will be immediately after at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
