John A. Bacon

John A. Bacon, age 76, of North East, PA passed away on Wednesday October 4, 2023 at his residence.

He was born on August 28,1947 in McKeesport, PA the son of the late Ivan and Anna (Filotei) Bacon.

John was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Army and United States Navy.

He was formerly employed as a Veteran Administration Cemetery Director for several years until retirement.

John is survived by his wife, Nancy Lee (Merritts) Bacon; daughter, Dianne Marie Hetrick (Eric) of Baden, PA; stepdaughter, Diane Nicole Harris (Justin) of Ormond Beach, FL; and grandson, Cody John Hetrick.

Family and friends are invited to attend a prayer service with Full Military Honors on Wednesday October 11th at 2 PM at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville, PA. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2115 West 38th Street, Erie, PA 16508.
