Joan (Hubbard) Roache

Joan (Hubbard) Roache, age 93, of Ripley, NY, passed away on Wednesday February 7, 2024 at her residence.

She was born on March 19, 1930 in Sherman, NY to the late Ralph V. and Mary E. (Goulding) Hubbard.

Joan graduated from the Erie Business Center and was formerly employed as a secretary at the Watts Agency in North East.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Ripley and the Ripley Senior Citizens.

Joan loved being a homemaker and enjoyed bowling, softball, playing cards and games.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer J. Roache (Dec. 15, 2023); son, William E. Roache; son-in-law, Gary Wieczorek; and daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Roache.

Joan is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Rotunda of Ripley; Sally Wieczorek of Union City; and son, Ernie Roache (Linda) of Sherman; sister, Dorothy Luke of Ripley; brother, Clifford Hubbard (Karen) of Ripley; grandchildren, Jeff, Mike, Christopher, Jeremy, Eric, Allie, Carey, Ryan, Alyssa, and Adam; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until time of a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
