Joan M. (Lamb) Barlow, age 85, of Harborcreek, passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was born on November 11, 1935, in Penfield, Pennsylvania, to the late John W. and Kathryn E. (McCafferty) Lamb. Joan graduated East High School in 1953 and was formerly employed by GTE Phone Company as a telephone line and cable assigner. She was a member of the Eastminster Presbyterian Church, Erie Art Museum, and the Presque Isle Artist Association. Joan was a local artist in the Erie area and was well known for her watercolor paintings and collages. She enjoyed teaching watercolor painting, displaying her artwork in local shows, and spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Harry A. Barlow, Sr.; sons, Harry Barlow, Jr. and Kevin S. Barlow; sister, Peggy Kinney; and a sister-in-law, Carol Conner. She is survived by her sons, John Barlow (Peggy) and Benjamin Barlow both of Harborcreek; brothers- in-law, Craig Kinney of Findley Lake and Clarence Conner of Millcreek; grandchildren, Jason (Charlene), Cassie, Danielle, Amber, Harry III, Tyler, David, Ben Jr., Leyla, Christopher, and Cody; great-grandchildren, Quinn, Avery, Silas, Elijah, Elizabeth, Thacher, Briar, and Roscoe; also several nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday July 3, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 2320 East Lake Road, Erie, PA 16511. Officiating will be Pastor Henry Rafferty. Private interment will be held at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Eastminster Presbyterian Church. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East.
