Howard Lattanzio

Howard "Pops" Lattanzio, 86, of North East, peacefully passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at UPMC Hamot. He was born on January 22, 1935 in Woodbridge, New Jersey, the son of the late Peter and Violet (Burke) Lattanzio. Howard was formerly employed by Atlantic Metals in Springfield, New Jersey. One of Howard's hobbies included visiting numerous dirt tracks throughout NJ & PA.  Howard thoroughly enjoyed the Winefest party at Heritage Winery which was a highlight each year.  He was an avid big country music fan and especially enjoyed listening to the Charlie Daniels Band.  "Pops" will be remembered as a kind and gentle soul who loved spending time with his family and friends, he will be sadly missed.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Isabelle Lattanzio (2015), and sisters, Lucille Geis and Violet Wetten. Howard is survived by his son, Peter Lattanzio (Donna) of Mechnicsburg, PA and his daughter, Lisa Gross (Richard) of North East. A Memorial Mass at St. Gregory Thaumaturgus Church will be announced at a later date.  Interment will be held at North East Cemetery.
