Howard "Howdy" Gerould

Howard "Howdy" Gerould, age 88, of Ripley and North East, passed away on Sunday August 21, 2022 at Independence Court. He was born on April 4, 1934 in Stateline, Pennsylvania the son of the late Francis and Jessica (Fullerton) Gerould. Howard was formerly employed by Electric Materials as a machinist operator for several years. Howard enjoyed reading the newspaper, playing solitaire, watching Pawn Stars or cop shows, and scratch off lottery tickets. He was a member of the Brotherhood of St. Joseph Club in North East where he loved spending time with his friends. Howard was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shirley Ann (Azzarello) Gerould; and son, Paul D. Gerould.  He is survived by his children, Fran Gerould (Elaine) of Salem, MA and Bonnie Wood (Gary) of North East; sister, Merle Fuston of Ohio; grandchildren, Jill, Stacy, Jason, Doug, William, and Noah; and eight great-grandchildren.  Private funeral arrangements are entrusted to the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East.
