Harry "Butch" Gratto II, age 66, of North East, passed away on Tuesday March 18, 2025 at UPMC Hamot.
He was born on October 19, 1958 in Erie, Pennsylvania to Arlene "Pat" L. (Culver) Gratto Hannah of North East and the late Harry E. Gratto.
Harry graduated from North East High School and the Erie Business Institute where he obtained a degree in electrical engineering.
He was the former maintenance supervisor at St. Gregory Cemetery and grape inspector for the State of Pennsylvania.
Harry was an honorary member of Fuller Hose Company, member of Brotherhood of St. Joseph, and was a member at the East Erie Moose Lodge where he made many close friends who he considered family.
He enjoyed watching the Minnesota Vikings, Penn State, and the Pittsburgh Pirates, golfing, and crossword puzzles.
He was preceded in death by his father; infant brother, Patrick Gratto; nephew, Michael Baker; brother-in-law, Tommy Doyle; niece, Mari Doyle King; and nephews, Captain Patrick Doyle, Jr. and Michael Doyle.
Harry is survived by his wife of 17 years Maureen Doyle Gratto whom he married June 21, 2008; mother, Pat L. Hannah; step-father, Jack E. Hannah; sons, Eugene Gratto and Gabe Gratto; siblings, Dawn Luteran (Steve), John Gratto, Jennifer Rodenbaugh (Edward), Jeff Hannah (Terri), Michael Hannah (Bianca), and Alex Hannah; granddaughters, Laelyn and Ariah Gratto; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Family and friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. and are invited to a funeral service on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
