Frances Annette (Legters) Fair

Frances Annette Legters Fair, 76, of Jamestown, NY passed away on July 15, 2023 at Saint Vincent Hospital. She was born on June 12, 1947, in Jamestown, NY, the daughter of the late Richard and Vivian Legters.

She graduated from Clymer High School and was employed as a dental hygienist for many years while raising her children. She returned to her education later in life, earning a Masters degree in History from Edinboro University. Frances greatly enjoyed her work as the Director of Education at the Fenton Historical Center in Jamestown NY until her retirement in 2017.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Michael Fair. Frances is survived by her daughters, Stephanie Fair-Lorenz (Christopher) of Telford, PA, and Jessica Wilson (Bryan) of Virginia Beach, VA; grandson, Mitchell; and brother, George R. Legters (Majel) of Indiatlantic, FL.

Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 S. Lake Street, North East, on Friday, July 28 from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. Private interment will be held at Holland Cemetery.
