Evelyn Pauline (Larsen) Gantz

Evelyn Pauline (Larsen) Gantz, age 84, of North East, passed away on February 17, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital.  She was born on October 22, 1940, in Steamburg, NY to the late Axle Larsen and Beatrice (Dunn) Larsen. 

Evelyn was a devoted wife, mom, grandma and nana who enjoyed spending time with her family. You could usually find her standing at the kitchen window playing neighborhood watch, listening to country music, or talking on the phone. She was always quick to crack a joke (even if not appropriate). She loved Christmas, especially elves, which was her favorite thing to collect. She also enjoyed car rides to get ice cream and sitting by the lake, as well as just sitting at home on her porch swing. She was truly one of a kind and loved beyond measure by the family she leaves behind.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Clifford Gantz, the love of her life; siblings; Shirley Stockton, Peggy Slother, Billy Larsen, Kenneth Larsen, Leonard Larsen, Geraldine Russell and Jimmy Larsen. 

Evelyn is survived by her daughters Debra Cuzzola and Dawn Youngs (Larry) of North East; grandchildren, Nikole (Jeremy), Nickolus (Ashley), Justin, Amber (Frank) and Autumn (Peter); great grandchildren, Chloe, Jordan, Owen and Addi; great great grandchildren, Isabella and Kacper; sister, Betty Sleppy; brothers, Lloyd Larsen and Gilbert Larsen and several nieces and nephews.
