Ethel (McMinn) Wolfe

Ethel McMinn Wolfe, age 98, of Greenfield Township, passed away on Saturday May 10, 2025 at LECOM Senior Living Center.

She was born on February 11, 1927 in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania to the late Harry and Fannie (Hallenbaug) McMinn.

Ethel co-owned and operated Wolfe Roofing Co. and worked at Yoder Greenhouse in Erie for several years.

She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, and flea markets.

Ethel was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John R. "Jack" Wolfe; infant son; infant daughter, Doris Wolfe; brothers, Walter McMinn and Duff McMinn, sister, Helen Young; and daughter-in-law, Shirleen Wolfe.

She is survived by her son, Harry Wolfe of Greenfield Township; daughter, Fannie Groves (Duff) of Wrightsville, PA; sisters, Bonell Dobson of Brookville, PA and Katherine McCreight of Reynoldsville, PA; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Friends and family may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Wednesday May 14th from 3:00 p.m. until time of a funeral service at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
