Estella H (Hugg) Eades

Estella H. Eades, of North East, PA passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023 at Ball Pavilion surrounded by the love of her family.  She was 102 years old.

She was born on December 17, 1920, in South Ripley, NY to the late Jess and Polly (Calkins) Hugg.

Estella graduated from Sherman Central School in 1939.  She was formerly employed by Welch Foods in North East, PA until her retirement in 1990, at the age of 70.

She loved spending time with her family, baking pies, taking care of her beautiful house plants, and playing cards and dice with her children and grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph H. Eades, Sr. (October 6, 1958), her brother, Harold Hugg and sisters, Lena Hadzega and Doris Eckstein.

She is survived by her son David Eades, Sr. (Judy); daughters Betty Kimmy and Beverly Brink (DeWayne, deceased), and son Ralph Eades, Jr. (Diana), all of North East.  She was blessed with several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.  She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Ball Pavilion and Family Hospice Erie for their care and compassion when it was needed most.

Private arrangements are being handled by the William Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East, PA.  Burial at North East Cemetery will follow.
