Edna Jane (Perdue) Maas, age 83, of North East, peacefully passed away on Friday November 5, 2021 at UPMC Hamot surrounded by her family. She was born on April 7, 1938 in South Ripley, New York the daughter of the late Robert and Mabel (Foster) Perdue. Edna loved and enjoyed her large family and all of her friends. She was a master of crossword puzzles and Scrabble. Edna was a devout woman of faith and a member of the South Ripley United Methodist Church. She was well known for her unconditional love and will be missed by many. Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Philip M. Maas; sisters, Fern Leek and Lois Cook; brother, Pete Perdue; son, Michael W. Maas; and great-grandson, Noah Wion. She is survived by her children, Ricky A. Maas (Andrea) of North East, Robin L. Howell (Jerry) of Edinboro, Deborah S. Wion (Frank) of North East, Scott A. Maas (Tamara) of North East, Eric M. Maas (Jennifer) of North Carolina, Melinda M. Krahnke (Stan) of Erie, and Jennifer K. Siegworth (Ron) of North East; brother, William Perdue (Sharon) of Ripley, NY; sister, Ruth Henry (Harry) of Ripley, NY; daughter-in-law, Pauline Maas of Ripley, NY; 19 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends and family are invited to call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. until time of a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Officiating the service is her son Pastor Rick Maas. Private interment will be held at North East Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the South Ripley United Methodist Church, C/O J. Lowes, 5024 S. Ripley Road, Ripley, NY 14775.
