Earl Erwin Clark

Earl Erwin Clark, age 50, of Lawrence Park, passed away on Tuesday December 26, 2023 at UPMC Hamot. 

He was a CORE donor.

He was born on March 10, 1973 in Erie, Pennsylvania the son of Jack and Jaqueline (Fuller) Clark of Wesleyville.

Earl graduated from Iroquois High School where he played on the Iroquois football team, track and field team, and was the manager of the basketball team. He also played Little League Baseball throughout his younger years.

Earl attended Orchard Beach Assembly where he enjoyed ushering and helping in anyway he could.

He was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed playing on the Friday Night Slovak Bowling League for over 30 plus years, helping coach the Little League Baseball, hunting, WWE Wrestling, and umping games with his son, Jacob.

Earl was formerly employed as a security guard by Health South where he met his wife; was an Emergicare EMT; and a security guard at UPMC Hamot.

He belonged to the Wesleyville Fire Department for over 25 years. Earl started out as a Black Hat and worked his way up to Chief of the Department. He loved fighting fires and driving the fire engine. Earl would take his grandkids for rides around town in the engine. He became an exempt member after his health started to decline.

Most of all in life, Earl loved his 13 grandkids Tori, David, Ezra, Aubree, Brandon, Nicholas, SJ, Christopher, Xzavier, Treston, Mikhael, Lucien, and Kaylin.

He was preceded in death by his brother, James Clark and grandparents.

Earl is survived by his wife of 19 years, Beth (Vanderhoof) Clark whom he married November 29, 2004; parents, sons Brady Clark (Ashleigh Coulson) and Jacob Clark; step-children, Matt, Jeff (Amber), Anthony (Jen) Crouch, Christina Lafferty (Chris Perry), and Eric Lafferty; sister, April; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Family and friends may call at the Orchard Beach Assembly, 2025 Orchard Beach Road, North East on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of a Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Officiating the service is Pastor Troy Keith. Interment will be held at Grahamville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Wesleyville Fire Department, 3421 Buffalo Rd., Erie, PA, 16510.
