Douglas A Stossmeister

Douglas A. Stossmeister, 76, of Findley Lake, NY, died Tuesday morning, October 4, 2022 at home. He was born on October 6, 1945 in Erie, PA son of the late Theodore and Bonita Stossmeister. A lifelong resident of the Erie area, Doug was a member of Lakeview Church of God.
Doug was a construction tradesman, working in residential and commercial buildings with a specialty in heating and cooling. Doug used his many gifts in service to others throughout his life. He will be well remembered for his generous spirit.
Doug is survived by his wife, Judith Stossmeister, sons Kip (Kristen) Stossmeister of Ridgway, PA and Sean Chase of Erie, PA, five grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
In addition to his parents, Doug is predeceased by one brother and two sisters. He is survived by two sisters, Ellen Hulings and Patricia Grehl.
Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service for Douglas A. Stossmeister to be conducted at the Lakeview Church of God North East, 5335 PA-89 North East, PA 16428 on Saturday October 15, 2022 at 1 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Doug’s name to The Camp at Findley, 2334 Sunnyside Rd. Clymer, NY 14724.
